SMM Panel Script vs Child Panel: Which One Fits You

An SMM panel script and a child panel both give you a panel on your own domain, and they are easy to confuse. One is software you run and connect to providers yourself. The other is a panel rented from a provider and tied to that provider's services. This guide sets out what each one asks of you, where each one stops, and how to choose.

What an SMM Panel Script Is

An SMM panel script is the software a panel website runs on. It has the pages a customer uses, an admin area for the owner, and the code that passes each order to a provider's API and reads its status back.

A script comes with no services of its own. What you sell is what the providers you connect offer: the script passes your customers' orders to them and reads each order's status back. A script is either installed on hosting you pay for, or rented as a hosted panel from its maker.

What Running a Script Asks of You

With a script, these are yours to provide and to keep running:

  • A domain and a place to run it. Hosting you pay for, or the rental of a hosted panel.
  • A way to take payments. Your customers pay you, so the payment methods are yours to set up.
  • At least one provider. You choose the providers, and you can connect more than one.
  • Updates and security. A panel holds your customers' balances and your provider's API key.
  • Support. Your customers need support, and you provide it.

Be careful with a copy from an unofficial source. A "nulled" script was changed by someone you cannot identify, and it gets no updates from its maker. For software that holds balances and an API key, that matters.

What a Child Panel Is

A child panel is a panel of your own that you rent from a provider. On PanelRegion you order it from the Child Panels page of your account. The form asks for the domain, the currency (US dollars) and an admin username and password. It asks for no hosting details.

Before you submit, you open the domain's settings where it is registered and replace its nameservers with the two the form shows. The form states the price per month. A child panel is rented by the month, and it appears in your account once it is ordered.

The Limit You Should Know First

A child panel is tied to the panel you rent it from. On a PanelRegion child panel you can add our services only. The services of another provider cannot be added to it.

If your plan depends on mixing several providers in one catalogue, a child panel is not the tool for it. If one catalogue is enough, a child panel can serve it. The order form asks for a domain, the currency and an admin username and password, and for no hosting details.

Script and Child Panel, Side by Side

  • Where it runs. Script: on hosting you pay for, or hosted by its maker if you rent it. Child panel: on your domain, after you replace its nameservers with the two on the order form.
  • Where the services come from. Script: from every provider you connect. Child panel: from PanelRegion only.
  • How you pay for it. Script: the rental, or the hosting if you install it yourself. Child panel: a monthly rent, stated on the order form.

Which One Fits You

A script, when

  • you want services from more than one provider in one catalogue;
  • you are ready to run the hosting, the updates and the security, or to pay someone who does.

A child panel, when

  • you want a panel on your own domain;
  • one provider's catalogue covers what you sell.

Or neither

You may not need a panel of your own at all. A reseller can place client orders in our panel by hand, in bulk, or from their own shop through the API. The reseller guide covers ordering by hand and through the API, and describes the child panel too.

Using PanelRegion as the Provider of Your Script

If you run a script, a provider is an API you connect. Ours uses the same service IDs you see on the public services list, so what you compare there is what your panel will order. Through the API your panel can:

  • read the service list, with each service's limits;
  • add an order;
  • check the status of one order, or of several at once;
  • create a refill request and check where it stands;
  • read your balance.

The request format for each action is in the API documentation. Check that your script can send those requests before you rely on it. The account is prepaid: your panel's orders are paid from the balance you add, so add balance before your customers order.

Before You Sell from a Panel of Your Own

  1. Read what each service states. The refill term is at the end of the name: R30, R90 or R365 mean a refill for that many days, NR means none, and a service with no mark has no refill unless its description says otherwise.
  2. Quote from the service ID. Two services can share a name and differ in their limits.
  3. Do not promise a delivery date. The average time on a service comes from recent orders. It is not a deadline.
  4. Decide what a partly delivered order means for your customer. If an order is not completed, or only partly because of a problem with the service, the unused amount goes back to your balance with us, unless the service description says otherwise. It does not go to your customer.
  5. Check again before you promise. The catalogue changes often.

The social networks' rules limit artificial engagement, and our terms leave the safety of an account with its owner. Whatever your panel runs on, tell your customers this before they order.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an SMM panel script?

It is the software a panel website runs on: the customer pages, an admin area and the code that passes each order to a provider's API. It has no services of its own. You connect providers to it, and you run it on your own hosting or rent it as a hosted panel.

Is a child panel the same as an SMM panel script?

No. A script is software you run and connect to the providers you choose. A child panel is rented from one provider, runs on your domain, and offers that provider's services only.

Can I add another provider's services to a child panel?

Not on a PanelRegion child panel. You can add our services to it; the services of another provider cannot be added.

What do I need to order a child panel?

A domain with its nameservers changed to the two shown on the order form, and an admin username and password. The currency is US dollars, and the form states the price per month.

Can I connect PanelRegion to my own script?

A script reaches a provider through that provider's API, and PanelRegion has one. Through it a panel can read the service list, add orders, check their status, create and check refill requests and read the balance, with the same service IDs as the public services list. The request format is in the API documentation, so check that your script can send those requests.

Compare the Catalogue Before You Build on It

The services list is public: limits, refill terms and descriptions are there before you create an account. The request format is in the API documentation, and the rules on balance and refunds are in our terms of use.
